We renew our certifications of organic and natural cosmetics for another year
The line of certified cosmetics is renewed until 2023 under the Cosmos standards, ensuring respect for the environment and sustainable processes.
Martínez Nieto, S.A annually renews its certifications of ecological and natural cosmetics under the Cosmos standards, which guarantees the use of natural resources in a responsible manner, respect for the environment and clean manufacturing processes.
This process is repeated every year. It ensures the validity of the requirements for obtaining the certificate. These requisites include: the composition of the product, the storage, manufacturing, packaging, environmental management, labelling, and communication.
Around twenty cosmetic products have Organic and Natural certifications under the Cosmos standards of the renowned British Soil Association.

Consumers prefer organic and respectful cosmetics
These certifications are essential for consumers who are looking to purchase quality organic and natural cosmetics, placing value on sustainable cosmetics, under an integral concept. One way to achieve this is through cosmetics that use natural ingredients without synthetic components and also through sustainability practices in the production processes of companies.
As Vanesa Paredes, Technical Pharmaceutical director of the Cosmetics Area at Martínez Nieto, explains, “consumers increasingly value sustainable manufacturing processes, respecting the environment, carrying out energy-saving business practices, minimising the environmental footprint and using recycled or recyclable packaging“.
He adds that “cosmetics that comply with this standard guarantee that the product has a measured traceability, from the sourcing of raw materials or ingredients to the manufacture of the product and its arrival at the end customer“.
